Triggering Unit
The interface between the Front End and the Beam Line was installed, the triggering unit, was installed early 2009.
In March 2009 the last component of the Front End, the so called triggering unit shown below, was installed and commissioned. Commissioning at this state involves a bake-out that allows to show that the unit is Ultra High Vacuum, UHV, compatible as well as alignment to the network of the machine. The first seven beam lines at Alba have commercial units supplied by FMB.
