Seven initial beamlines at ALBA

In their meeting of the 30th of June 2005, the Governing Council of CELLS authorised the implementation at ALBA of the seven beamlines recommended by the Scientific Advisory Commitee.

En su reunión del 30/06/2005, el Consejo Rector de CELLS autorizó la puesta en marcha en ALBA de las siete líneas de luz aconsejadas por el Comité Científico Asesor.

En la seva reunió del 30/06/2005, el Consell Rector de CELLS va autoritzar l'engegada en ALBA de les set línies de llum aconsellades pel Comitè Científic Assessor.

These 7 beamlines are the following ones:

• Soft X-ray BL for polarisation dependent spectroscopies and microscopies (Magnetism, Mat. Sci.).
• BL for electron and soft X-ray emission spectroscopies (¨dirty or real surface¨ Surface Science).
• BL for high resolution powder diffraction with micro-focus option (Mat. Sci.).
• High brilliance XAS (Chemistry,Biology, Mat. Sci.).
• Non-crystalline diffraction with micro-focus option (Biology+Mat. Sci.).
• Crystallography of very large macromolecules (Biology).
• X-ray microscopy BL (Biology).
