A section of the optics system in MISTRAL
Beamlines:
* Core Level Absorption & Emission Spectroscopies (CLÆSS)
- Cryogenic pipes and the main cryoloop have been installed.
- Network cabling installation in progress.
- Optics metrology of the crystal analyzer is in progress.
* Materials Science and Powder Diffraction (MSPD)
- Monochromator, mirror mechanics, and most part of the backbone have arrived.
* Macromolecular Crystallography (XALOC)
- The mechanical installation of the diffractometer table has been completed.
- Connector boxes for the diffractometer and the diffractometer table
have been installed.
- Control/integration of the automated sample changer (CATS) is ongoing.
- Control of the omega axis of the diffractometer is ongoing.
* Non-Crystalline Diffraction (NCD)
- Mirrors have been installed in the system.
- Differential pumping stages have been installed on each side of the mirrors and commissioned.
* Photoemission Spectroscopy and Microscopy (CIRCE)
- Design of the EPS (equipment protection system) has been finalized.
* Resonant Absorption and Scattering (BOREAS)
- 2nd round of the installation of the optics has started, the mirrors
and the grating monochromator are being installed in the vacuum chamber.
* X-Ray Microscopy (MISTRAL)
- Mirrors are being characterized/measured with the LTP.

* Superconducting wiggler: is being shipped from Novosibirsk (Russia) to Barcelona and will be received at the end of May. On May 24th it will start its reassembly on site. Site Acceptance Tests are expected to be carried out from June 1st to 25th.
* In-vacuum undulators: first IVU is already finished. Assembly of girders into vacuum chamber happened on the 1st week of May. It will be sent to CELLS along June. Second IVU is ready to pass next week the Factory Acceptance Tests (magnetic measurements).

The injection straight is under final preparation in the laboratory and its installation will start this week. Cabling installation proceeds according to schedule. The next commissioning steps are planned as follows:
Linac operation: May 2010
Booster ring commissioning: 2nd half of July 2010
Storage ring commissioning: Start in October 2010
