Applying for Beamtime for Academic Research

ALBA welcomes scientists from all over the world, both from academic and non-academic institutions.

There are two ways to access beamlines:

• Academic Research. Proposals will be selected by a Peer Review Committee and results must be published in open literature. Selection will be based on excellence of science.
  

• Proprietary Research. For confidential results not to be published or peer-reviewed, commercial agreements must be signed.

The call for 2012 experiments closed on January 17th, 2012.

Users’ experiments have started on 7th May, with a gradual start-up of all beamlines. Beamtime will be allocated along this year according to the technical status of beamlines.

• 2012 call results are available for BOREAS and CLAESS. 
• 2012 call results for MSPD, MISTRAL, NCD and CIRCE.
• 2012 call results for XALOC.
