The ALBA Synchrotron has published the first of a video series for explaining some of the experiments performed at the facility. This first video covers two investigations in the field of cultural heritage. This project received the support of the FECYT and Obra Social "la Caixa".
From the 26th of September till 17th October, undergraduate students interested in doing an internship in the ALBA Synchrotron can submit a proposal.
A ceremony at the Palau de la Generalitat has been organised for paying tribute to Ramon Pascual, president of the Executive Commision of the ALBA Synchrotron from 2003 to 2016 and promoter of the project.
On the 11th, 16th and 18th November, the ALBA Synchrotron and the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation are organizing a couse where teachers can expand their knowledge of synchrotron light and its properties. The course, recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya, combines theory and practice, materials and examples to use with students in the classroom and a visit to ALBA.
She has been one of the four persons recognized with the "premio alla modicanità" 2016, promoted by the council of the Italian town of Modica (Sicily) which recognizes local personalities from the cultural and social areas.
