On the 6th May the ALBA Synchrotron is organizing an industrial workshop to explain how to use synchrotron light for analysing these materials. The Minister of Business and Knowledge of the Catalan government, Jordi Baiget i Cantons, will be in charge of the opening ceremony. Free registration is open till the 3rd of May.
A University of Barcelona research team has come to the NCD beamline of the ALBA Synchrotron for this experiment. One of the study’s conclusions is that the smooth mouthfeel results from the small size of the crystals and the lower melting temperature of the velvety chocolate coating.

Researchers from ICMAB and the ALBA Synchrotron have found a new magnetic mechanism in high temperature superconductor cuprates, proving the coexistence of magnetism and superconductivity. Results have been published in Advanced Science, including key measurements performed at BOREAS beamline.
