Better adhesives for a better world

"Synchrotron light is very good to study adhesives because it gives you information on the internal structure of the adhesives that we can not see with any other techniques. The great advantage of a synchrotron is that you can get the high intense bright light and you also have fast detectors.  This allows you to study certain processes in-situ. So, in our case, we can study the adhesives in action. We can apply an external stimulus and we can see the process of detachment occurring", Kang Wei Chou, reseach and technical manager at Henkel (Dusseldorf, Germany)-
