The Festival of Science and Technology is organized by the Barcelona City Council Culture Institute with the aim of bringing science to the people and promoting citizen participation.
On June 14th the Parc de la Ciutadella became a laboratory with participative activities addressed to families, where ALBA showed how a particle accelerator works. The objective of the activity was to explain ALBA's facility with a homemade equipment, using concepts such as electric charge or electric charge conduction.
Members of the Accelerators division performed several demonstrations to almost 80 people who visited the Marie Curie tent.
The Festival of Science and Technology will finish on June 20th at 12:30 h at the Catalan Parliament.
