The 12th Workshop on Accelerator Operations (WAO) will take place virtually from October 5th to October 8th, 2021 organised by the ALBA Synchrotron (Barcelona, Spain).
The workshop was planned to take place live in Barcelona but, unfortunately, due to the persistent situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the globe the Local Organising Committee has taken the difficult decision to switch to a virtual event.
The WAO 2021 program will include contributed talks, as well as poster sessions and parallel discussions and plans to focus mainly on the effects that the pandemic has on the way Accelerators are run. Remote operation, teleworking, social distances,… all these new concepts have changed the way we are now operating our accelerators. Which of the newly introduced policies and upgrades are we likely to keep on the future, which have had a negative impact on our operations? Join the workshop and share you experience with us!
