The 10th AUSE Conference and 5th ALBA User’s Meeting – 2022, jointly organized by Centro de Física de Materiales (CSIC/UPV-EHU) and Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC); AUSE (the Spanish Synchrotron User Association) and ALBA Synchrotron, will be held at ALBA premises in Cerdanyola del Vallès from Monday 5th to Thursday 8th of September 2022.

This AUSE conference will become the tenth meeting of a series of biannual meetings that started in Málaga in 2004, followed by San Lorenzo del Escorial (Madrid, 2005); Jaca (2007); Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona, 2009); Valencia (2011) and which has been carried out in conjunction with the ALBA User’s meeting for four times since ALBA (2013), ALBA (2015), Madrid (2017) and ALBA (2019) being this ALBA User’s meeting the fifth of the series.

Although this scientific conference, foreseen for 2021, has been impacted by the current Covid-19 pandemic, we remain optimistic that in 2022, a full and exciting program can be delivered in a face-to-face conference in Cerdanyola and Barcelona. The program will be devoted to AUSE activities, Spanish CRG SpLine upgrade and activities, ALBA staff and user’s latest developments, update of the ALBA II process and a special dedicated session to Spanish XFEL HUB activities will be organized this time. The conference is expected to bring together a leading group of around 140 researches, including students, post-docs and other participants. We plan to accommodate some plenary lectures, a significant amount of oral contributions as well as extended poster sessions.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, you are most welcome to participate in this meeting. Your contribution is essential for the future of the investigation using synchrotron radiation techniques.
