How to manage all Beamline Support software (1339 software packages, some only a few files) with on average 9 different version per product (you can get back to whatever version you like, not like "only latest" with debian8 using "apt-get") and some software with 240 versions (including up to 8 different supported operating systems: win32,win64,redhat4,redhat5, debian6, debian7 and debian8 for each supported version).
