The last issue of the ALBA News magazine is out! In this publication, you will find scientific articles of experiments and upgrades performed in ALBA's beamlines and accelerators. The focus of the main issue is the ALBA Control System that can be considered the brain that connects all the devices at the beamlines, the accelerators and the facility itself. The report Science and society, by the user Adriana Rojas from the CIC bioGUNE, explains how they have solved the enzymatic reaction of MATα2, key for regulating cancer cell growth. Profiting his visit during the celebration of the five years of synchrotron light in ALBA, we could interview Dieter Einfeld, to whom we discuss about the evolution of synchrotron light sources in the last 40 years. Industrial users and developments are also included in this issue with a special report from pharmaceutical company Artax Biopharma.
