The ACCC (Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica) has recently held its 30th anniversary, where three initiatives were awarded as the best Outreach projects. Misión ALBA was one of the winners and the jury highlighted its capability to engage kids into science as well as its great success with schools participating from all the regions of Spain.

Cerdanyola del Vallès, 4th November 2021. Misión ALBA is an educational project addressed to children in the last courses of primary school to promote scientific vocations, build bridges between the scientific and the educational community and to approach the ALBA Synchrotron to all Spain. Since its launch in 2018, more than 30,000 students have participated so far.

On its 30th anniversary, the ACCC (Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica) wanted to highlight three outreach initiatives promoted by members of the association, being Misión ALBA one of the winners. Each of the winners were granted 1.000€. The jury recognised its rigorous communication, innovation and creativity, educational dimension, the gender perspective as well as its availability in all the co-oficial languages in Spain and the possibility of accessing remotely to ALBA, removing geographical distances.

Misión ALBA is now starting its 4th edition, counting with record number of participants: 500 teachers and approximately 15,000 students. For further details, visit: www.misionalba.es
