Cerdanyola del Vallès, 15 February 2021. You can already access the new jobs website for the ALBA Synchrotron: https://jobs.albasynchrotron.es. It consists of a microsite for consulting and applying to the latest ALBA’s job offers, as well as to have a deeper insight on the professional and sociocultural environment and the great variety of profiles that are present among its staff.
The main goal of this portal is to go beyond the scientific and technological results being developed at the synchrotron, thus showing the facility’s more human and social side. This will help potential applicants to gain context on the available job offers.
Besides the current job offers, it is possible to make a spontaneous application, as well as to subscribe to the job offers alert, in order to be notified any time a new one is published.
The website includes different sections with information regarding ALBA’s organization: How teams are divided and what kind of work every division does. In addition, there will be statements from some of the workers available for reading, with information about their professional experience and academic background.

On the other hand, there is also information about the sociocultural activities that take place in the ALBA Synchrotron, which are related to the diversity of interests among the people who form the facility. As well as details about the privileged location of ALBA, in the province of Barcelona, close to relevant areas in the field of scientific research, such as the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and from its activities related to general leisure. This information could be of special interest to those people who might be interested in working at the facility but are not familiar with its location and all it has to offer.
