Talks at schools, including scientists from ALBA
#100tífiques is an initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia.
The aim of the project is to visibilise and highlight the importance and strategic role of women in science and technology, while promoting joint actions between academic and business scientists. The programme aims to foster a more direct and reciprocal relationship between science and society, and especially to increase awareness of this group and widen its space.
The project includes two major events or activities that pivot around – or in coincidence with – February 11, International Women's Day and Girls in Science:
- Simultaneous talks of our #100tífiques (women scientists) in schools throughout Catalonia (students from 6th primary and 1st ESO).
- Annual Networking Meeting of #100tífiques in the public and private system, prior to simultaneous talks.
