ALBA Synchrotron
The ALBA Synchrotron is a large research infrastructure, located in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona). It is a fundamental pillar of the Spanish and European research arena, offering to academic and industrial users a wide variety of state-of-the-art instrumentation.
ALBA is the most complex and biggest scientific infrastructure in Spain, aimed at giving service to the user community. In this section, ALBA shares its vision, mission and strategy plans to keep at the forefront of Spanish science.
ALBA entered in official operation in 2012. Now it's preparing its upgrade to the 4th generation to renovate its facilities by beginning of 2030.
