ALBA is transitioning from offering researchers state-of-the-art instruments to providing a complete research ecosystem, encompassing advanced methods, computing services, and multimodal approaches. This will empower researchers to tackle complex scientific challenges and position ALBA as a central hub, connecting Spanish science with leading global champions in research and innovation.

Mission

To boost Spanish and European research and innovation communities by providing state-of-the-art X-Ray and microscopy instrumentation and excellent experimental environments. The applied research and collaborative approach aim to tackle existing and upcoming major challenges in health, environment, energy, communication and others relevant for societal welfare and evolution.
