Dr. Caterina Biscari, born in Italy, 1957, is an experimental physicist, who has developed her scientific career in the field of particle accelerators, working in the past in the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati of INFN in Rome or in the CERN de Ginebra. Since 2012, she is the director of the ALBA Synchrotron, the scientific infrastructure for synchrotron light production, where she has managed the beginning and consolidation of the operation and the development of the project as a large multidisciplinary research facility with international projection. EPS Fellow and member of several international advisory committees, among the Scientific Policy Committee of CERN.
