ALBA Synchrotron
A place for LGBTIQA+ scientists to showcase their work in all areas of Science, Technology and Investigation
The LGBTIQA+ community has gained a lot of visibility in the last decades, in terms of legally guaranteed rights as well as in daily lives. Just like in other social domains, lesbian, gay, trans*, bisexual, intersex, queer, asexual and other identities outside of the cis-heterosexual norms are present in Science, Technology and Innovation, and with them their unique perspectives. Sharing these perspectives can help recognize biases and inequalities that still persist, promote the participation of the community in knowledge-generating activities and build safer and more inclusive spaces in research.
PRISMA invites members of the LGBTIQA+ community and allies to present their work from all areas of Science, Technology and Innovation. The main goal is to create an interdisciplinary space of sharing knowledge and lived experiences. Attendees will have the chance to extend their support networks and meet other LGBTIQA+ people working in Science, Technology and Innovation.
