As a continuation of the series of previous workshops, ALBA Synchrotron is organizing a "QUANTY, CRISPY, and CTM4XAS Workshop" on the different codes used for crystal field multiplet (CFM) calculations. This workshop will take place at ALBA in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) from June 4th to June 6th.
We will have Prof. Frank de Groot (Utrecht University, The Netherlands) as a lecturer for the CTM4XAS and CRISPY part, while Stefano Agrestini, from ALBA, will take care of covering the QUANTY part of the workshop.
As commonly known, CFM codes have proven to be very successful for accurate modelling and interpreting soft and hard x-ray XAS, XMCD, and X(M)LD spectra. Also, XPS, IPES, XES and RIXS spectra can be calculated using these codes. In order to catch up with the recent developments of these codes as well as their use, the workshop will include lectures on their theoretical background as well as on their practical applications, including sessions with a hands-on training for the conference attendants.
More detailed information on the workshop as well as on the workshop registration information can be found in the workshop webpage.
