Abstract: In situ X-ray techniques in operando batteries were early identified as a precious tool to get a mechanistic understanding of ion insertion in the electrodes’ structures. Indeed, they enable fast data collection while reducing the risk of altering the sample’s structure. Although various geometries of in situ cells are available commercially, none of them allow data collection at non-ambient temperature conditions. The goal of this thesis is to develop and test such cells. Three electrochemical systems were studied to assess the new cells. Li//TiS
2
cells were tested to get better comprehension of the solvent cointercalation phenomenon. These informations were precious to study calcium insertion in TiS

at non-ambient temperatures. Finally, NVP was tested in its α-phase (2°C) and β-phase (40°C).
