We are happy to announce that the German priority program SPP2080 DynaKat dealing with thermal and electro catalysis for the energy transition and storage under dynamic conditions will hold an autumn school from 14.10.-18.10.2024 hosted in the venues of the ALBA Synchrotron. During this week, the doctoral researchers and early career scientists of the SPP2080 will participate in a diverse program mainly dedicated to the relevance of hydrogen in catalysis for sustainable energy production, storage and use.

Besides site visits to chemical companies, research institutions or laboratories, the program offers highly interesting talks by local experts in the field of catalysis:

  • 14.10.24, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Prof. Joan Ramon Morante Lleonart (Director of IREC) – "Materials research in the energy transition"
  • 16.10.24, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Prof. Konstantin M. Neyman (ICREA Research Professor at University of Barcelona) - "Approaching complexity of catalytic nanomaterials by DFT calculations"
  • 17.10.24, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Dr. Juan J. Velasco-Vélez (ALBA Synchrotron) – "Operando characterization of electrocatalytic interfaces with X-ray spectrocopies"

These talks will be public and free of charge for the ALBA community! If you're interested in attending one or several of the talks, simply register via e-mail to jvelasco@cells.es and lorena.baumgarten@kit.edu by latest September, 30th!
