Dr. Yulia Galagan - Holst Centre / Solliance, High Tech Campus 21, Eindhoven, the Netherlands

The biggest motivation for the development of organic and perovskite solar cell technology is the low cost potential, based on the use of low-cost materials and substrates and the very high production speeds that can be reached by roll-to-roll printing and coating. The main challenge today is the move from lab scale devices to the devices manufactured on an industrial level. In Holst Centre and Solliance alliance we demonstrate successful transfer of knowledge from the lab to industrial prototypes by implementing roll-toroll printing and coating methods. Up-scaling of the OPV modules using printing and coating methods will be discussed. This is an important step towards large-volume manufacturing of OPV on flexible substrates.
