Abstract

The aim of the visit by CRYTUR at the synchrotron facility is to meet the scientists that use CRYTUR™s scintillators in different applications. We would like to discuss their requirements for specific parameters which we could further improve. During our presentation we would like to present our current range of scintillators and detection systems for beam detection and high resolution imaging. In particular we are going to introduce several new promising scintillation materials such as LuAG:Pr and YAP:Ce materials emitting in UV, which move the resolution limit of such imaging systems below 500nm. With standard YAG:Ce we are able to achieve higher LY and lower decay time. We can now also grow large crystals so that the diameter of single crystal screens can be as large as 100 mm. For high intensity beams we have low LY materials as Ruby or YAP:Ti. For single particle tracking and detection we now offer a new device based on CMOS hybrid detectors which can also be used for high contrast imaging.

Another interesting material is sapphire for applications at high temperatures and pressures, e.g. sapphire capillaries for NMR, HPLC and in situ measurements SAXS, WAXS, XRD, PDF, EPR.
