As usual, you will find science highlights and technical developments of ALBA's beamlines and accelerators as well as the main milestones and activities developed in the facility in the last 6 months.

This issue includes a special report from Jens Biegert, from the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), which explores the attosecond time dynamics of matter with soft X-rays in collaboration with the ALBA Synchrotron.

The report Science and society, by Salvador Ferrer, offers information about how researchers have used ALBA's techniques for

imaging 

the properties of buried magnetic domains.

In this issue, we interview Mari Cruz García-Gutiérrez, president of the Spanish Association of Synchrotron Users (AUSE), for discussing the situation of the user's community in Spain as well as its future challenges.

Industrial users and developments are also included in this issue with a special report from Toyota Motor Europe (TME) together with the ICMAB-CSIC.
