ALBA Synchrotron
The UAB, the UAB Research Park, Eurecat and B30 Association have signed an agreement with the ALBA Synchrotron and ESADECreapolis to include both institutions as new members of the b30 HUB.

One year later the B30 Hub was created, new research, development and innovation agents of the B30 territory are being incorporated. The B30 area includes 23 municipalities that are located between the AP7 and AP2 motorways. The objective of this hub is to group different institutions to offer innovative answers, based on interaction and collaboration, in a multidisciplinary and multisectorial environment of co-creation to improve the competitiveness of the B30 territory.
Today the rector of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Margarita Arboix, the vice-rector for Innovation and Strategic Projects of the UAB and director of the UAB Research Park, Javier Lafuente, the General Director of Operations and Corporate Affairs of Eurecat, Xavier López, and the president of Ámbito B30 Association, Josep Monràs, have signed an agreement with the director of the ALBA Synchrotron, Caterina Biscari, and the director of ESADECREAPOLIS, Oriol Alcoba, to include both institutions inside the b30 HUB.
All of them expressed their satisfaction for being part of the Hub and working together to solve the innovation challenges of institutions and companies. On the one hand, the incorporation of the ALBA Synchrotron will expand the collaboration by making available synchrotron ligh to the academic and industrial sectors. On the other hand, ESADECREAPOLIS will contribute inspiring, facilitating and accelerating the innovation of companies, as well as detecting market opportunities.
By means of this agreement, all members of the B30 Hub are also committed to develop projects and activities on innovation, disseminating their activities and projects, as well as promoting debate and exchange of experiences.
The hub was created in 2018. During this year, members of the B30 Hub have organized a total of 10 innovation meetings focused on sectors such as food, mobility, bioindustry or big data, among others. In total, more than 650 people have participated, coming from companies, research centers, hospitals or public bodies.
