The call for proposals for the 2017-I cycle was open from 4th July to 8th September and covers the experiments to be done from January to 2nd July 2017 (except for the that covers the full year). A total of 125 proposals (1494 shifts of eight hours) have been granted to users.

The ALBA Synchrotron opens two calls for proposals per year. The proposals are evaluated by a panel, composed of international experts from different research areas, who evaluate them as a result of a ranking based on scientific excellence.
