In recognition for her professional career, Caterina Biscari has been bestowed today with the FemTalent 2015 award. FemTalent aims at promoting gender equality and feminine talent.

"This is an acknowledgement of the role of women in science and, specially, I believe this award is also addressed to all women working at the ALBA Synchrotron", in words of Caterina Biscari, director of the ALBA Synchrotron. The list of nominees of this award category was completed by Alícia Casals, researcher at the IBEC, Pilar Conesa, curator of the Smart City Expo World Congress, and Marisol Turró, president of Sercotel hotels.

The ceremony, that has taken place at La Salle Faculty of Architecture in Barcelona, has gathered experts from different areas of specialization to discuss and search for more efficient ways to balance professional and personal careers.

FemTalent is an initiative of the Catalan network of scientific and technological parks (XPCAT) to promote gender equality and feminine talent. It is supported by the Catalan government, the council of Barcelona and La Salle University.
