ALBA Synchrotron
The ALBA Synchrotron and the CERCA Institute (Research Centers of Catalonia) have signed today a collaboration agreement to regulate CERCA visiting researchers who develop long-term scientific and technological projects at ALBA.
Lluís Rovira, director of CERCA, and Caterina Biscari, director of ALBA, have signed today a collaboration agreement to organize and promote the presence of CERCA researchers at ALBA Synchrotron. This agreement will benefit CERCA researchers opening up the possibility of developing long-term scientific and technological projects at ALBA.
For ALBA's responsible, "this is a good opportunity to attract new scientific and technological projects and to take advantage of the wide variety of measurement techniques of ALBA". Lluís Rovira has highlighted the scientific quality of ALBA's unique facilities and staff, becoming an excellent complement for CERCA researchers to develop more ambitious projects.
The CERCA Institute was created in 2010 with the aim of gathering, dinamizing and evaluating the 47 CERCA research centers, all of them participated by the Catalan Government. CERCA centers include all the scientific areas: sciences, life sciences, medicine, engineering and architecture, social sciences and humanities.
