ALBA Synchrotron
ALBA Synchrotron and the Metropolitan Government of Daejeon (South Korea) have signed an agreement to explore future collaborations for the exchange and cooperation in scientific activities.
On July 6th 2017, a delegation from the Metropolitan Government of Daejeon visited the ALBA Synchrotron with the intention of establishing bilateral relations for the benefit of the scientific, industrial and economic fields of both regions. Among its objectives is to promote the exchange of knowledge, collaborate in the scientific activities of companies, generate a prosperous and cooperative environment between institutions, and maintaining a fluid communication between them.
This delegation is accompanied by INEUSTAR, the Spanish Association of the Science Industry. Prior to their visit to ALBA Synchrotron, the delegation visited other centers and facilities in the Basque Country as well.
Daejeon City is recognized worldwide as the “Silicon Valley” of Asia, as its home of an important group of technological and research institutions in the fields of particle accelerators, nanotechnology, telecommunications, aeronautics, biosciences, etc.
