From 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the 17th of June 2022, ALBA organises the workshop entitled "ALBA Synchrotron Applications for the Pharmaceutical Industry" that will take place at its facilities in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona). Apart from describing how a synchrotron works and its main industrial applications, it will be possible to learn more about their use for drug design or characterization, including the analysis of side effects.

Members from the research area of ALBA will explain the different techniques that are interesting for this sector. Also staff from companies that have already used ALBA's instrumentation will present case studies performed at the ALBA Synchrotron.

The conference is aimed at managers and members of the R&D&i team from pharmaceutical and biomedical companies who wish to know more about the potential of synchrotron light techniques for their processes or developments. The event will also include a visit to the facilities as well as a networking lunch.
