From June 30th to September 7th the researchers interested in applying for beamtime can submit a proposal.  Regarding the MX, BL13-XALOC proposals, this call

covers access during the whole of 2016 and all proposals should be submitted like a BAG proposal

. On this call, Long Term Proposals will be accepted under very restricted conditions: the experiment must take a maximum of two years

with a re-evaluation after the annual experimental report

, there can only be a long term proposal per end station and the proposal must demonstrate long-term added value to ALBA (equipment remaining in the experimental station, development of new techniques, additional staff, etc.).

All the technically viable proposals will be evaluated by a scientific committee composed by international researchers from different research areas, resulting in a ranking on criteria of scientific excellence.
