During her visit, she had the chance to know how ALBA works and the service that the facility is giving to the scientific community.

Cerdanyola del Vallès, 5th March 2019.

Caterina Biscari, director of the ALBA Synchrotron, summarised the status and main operational aspects of ALBA, highlighting its wide variety of scientific applications in areas such as biomedicine, materials science, catalysis or cultural heritage.

After the presentation, they visited different areas of the facility, including the tunnel of accelerators, taking advantage that this week the facility is in shutdown for short maintenance. During the visit, they were accompanied by other members of the ALBA management board. Teresa Cunillera has expressed her gratitude for the explanations and showed her enthusiasm for the great capabilities that ALBA is offering the Spanish scientific community.
