Funded users must make their reservations with ALBA providers as soon as their experiment has been scheduled and they have received the invitation email from the ALBA User Office confirming their experiment dates. Travel and accommodation will be invoiced directly to ALBA. A small amount for taxis will be granted to each user after the experiment.
Self-funded users may arrange their travel at their own convenience or use ALBA booking services.
Users can choose either the autonomy offered by an apartment at VILA 2 or the comfort of a hotel room at Hotel Exe Campus or Hotel Exe Parc del Vallès.
During scheduled beamtime, funded users (see User Funding conditions) are eligible for fully subsidized stays, including breakfast. For longer stays outside of the beam concession period, or for non-funded researchers, there are apartments and hotel rooms which are available at the indicated rates. Non-funded userscan share the room of a funded user, they just need to pay for the additional breakfast.
